Hi, Abby here. I'm on hiatus until after the election but then I shall be back.

Hello new subscribers! It was lovely meeting some of you the other night in Menlo Park :)

Please comment, I'd love to hear all of your thoughts on prop 8. And for more info go to: http://www.noonprop8.com/

Regardless of how you feel about Gay marriage, Prop 8 is discriminatory and regressive. Let's let youtube know that we won't vote to take away our fellow citizens fundamental rights. We will not write discrimination into our constitution!

  • Only truly inferior people fear equality.

There are no reasons to oppose gay marriage equality - only excuses.

  • wow, thats all I can say, the country you live in is based on equal rights, and if there was unequal rights, whose to say you should be the one with more rights then another person? and the bible doesnt even have anything to do with this, thats why our country was founded on separation of Church and State

  • @robbypjr Not everyone lives by a book written by incestous murdering freaks.

Religion is an outdated joke used to promote genocide, torture, rape, infantcide, sacrifice, sexism, racism and homophobia.

  • "NO this is a "LIE" ..because I have seen them in action.."GAYS are "RUTHLESS"..and anyone who supports them is "A GOD HATER"...BECAUSE "GOD" SAYS "NO"..TO "GAY LIFESTYLE"..."PERIOD"...READ YOUR "BIBLE".."LADY"..!

  • I'm religious myself and I don't give a rat's ass if gay people get married or not. The bible says that man and woman get married under the law of God. gays are only going to get married under the law of man so I say let the gays do what ever the fuck they want. by the way, if you think homosexuality is a choice than you've already lost the argument.

  • anyways, gay is gay, straight is straight, bi is bi. none are better or more natural/normal. they are all hormonally affected sexual orientations.

and same sex couples have more long and meaningful marriages. i mean who would want to get divorced after finally getting such an imporant right? xD

anyways, people should just learn instead of spreading hatred and lies...we dont affect you at all no matter how much your beliefs say so. you just have to stop making assholes of yourselves. its our life

  • @angusmcpherson you're a fucking retard. i dont need to argue cuz you wont want to listen. point is, you're retarded, im getting married and you cant do shit. comparing gays to pedophiles zoophiles and necrophiles...wow. animals, dead people, children...none of them can consent and have a healthy adult relationship. so shut the fuck up man. your lack of intelligence is HUGE.

  • @angusmcpherson Is hatred a virtue?

Also, I really like that you jump from "Sodomy is not OK because it is unnatural!" to "Sodomy is not OK because it's not a virtue!"

But what I really, really like is that you reduce homosexuality to sex. Is fucking a virtue? If you have the right to fuck a woman than it is obviously a virtue, since you want to make things illegal simply because they are not virtues in your little world.

  • @EPR89 There is no "human right" to sodomy. Some of you secularists think that our country was founded on tolerance and freedom. But actually it was founded on VIRTUE and freedom (see John Adams). Is sodomy a virtue?

  • @angusmcpherson Clothes are not natural. Guns are not natural. If you really want to justify a ban on gay marriage on whteher you think it is natural or not you might get some problems.

Rights and laws are constructs, founded by humans to make sure that there are rules in society. Some of these rules are comon sense, some are more specific. Basically no one is born with specific rights. It depends on whether your country accepts them. And if it does it should enforce them equally.

  • @EPR89 You say that the Constitution is based on human rights. If one half of a relationship is human, doesn't that person have a liberty interest in marrying whomever or whatever he or she wants? According to John Locke, all of our rights are naturally derived, endowed by nature's God (no church here) with certain unalienable rights. However, the rights we enjoy under the Constitution, we already had in nature. Since sodomy isn't natural, it can't be a natural right.

  • @angusmcpherson You might want to read my post again. I said "the constitution is not based on godly creation but human rights."

Following YOUR logic everyone would be entitled to marry anything.
