  • You have to wonder why no one has done a biopic about her, there are a bunch about her cousins Eleanor and Franklin, but none about Alice who had to be the original White House party Girl!

  • Agreed! Her only claim to fame these days are in books about her feuds with Edith and Eleanor, her part in Franklin and Lucy's affair, and how she (lovingly) stressed out her father, who gave her a lot less love than she needed. And all these make her sound like a bad person. She's not! She was a wonderful and intelligent woman whom I would have loved to meet. She was the irreplaceable "the other washington monument" and she should definitely stay in our minds and hearts as that and more!
