what a shame, i had a girlfriend that leaved there a long time before katrina,i have been in florida for 10 years it really shocked me not seen redwoods.

Good riddance to that ghetto. It was a nice place to live in the 80's. The minorities destroyed it.

Worked in Kenner just after Katrina. Worked for the McMynes if any one knows them. I remember the Redwoods. And remember their demolition with complete aw. There was not enough damage not to repair. Just an opportunity to run a certain
ethnic group out of a predominate white area. I live near Flint MI. There are buildings in alot worst shape up here still standing.

I grew up in red wood appartments. It was a curse and a blessing to see it go. Too bad you didn't have any Pics before it was destroyed. Thank you for having that though. Now I have something to document the death of my childhood with. Trust me that is kinda a good thing.

I've been back since I've joined the Army.... I was there last year, and saw all the trailors that were still left over..... I wanted to cry, all of what was Kenner was so different, and the rest of NOLA, coming back this summer before I go to Iraq....

Damn i miss my home, i lived in redwood too... been gone since way before Katrina... joined thr army, just waiting out to serve my time, then i am coming back
