  • Thanks for your wonderful performance. Allow me to say a few words about this folk song. Made in 1914, Furusato has been sung in almost every Japanese elementary school. The lyrics are by Tatsuyuki TAKANO (1878-1947), and the music by Teiichi OKANO (1878-1941). Other famous songs made by these two people are: Oborozukiyo, Momiji, Haru-ga-kita, and Haru-no-Ogawa. Please check them out too.
