one word for this story: Overated

Great Idea, Some of us either weren't born yet or were too little for this kind of thing back when this first aired.
For those of us without a TARDIS of our own to go back and see it, this is a great alternative LOL!

This recon is terrific fun! It captures the spirit of the segment and era wonderfully! What matter it looks cheap and cheerful, it's the fun and imagination that counts! And in many ways, these are similar to the pictures we would have had back in the day! Great fun recon, hugely entertaining, very well done, thanks!

Yeaaaahhh Max Payne Style Graphic Novel....now that would be great for Doctor who except its a Doctor Who Graphic Novel using the sound from the old episodes

He's Correct Y'Know. Back then, around '76 when most B&W Film was being wiped and sold, they didn't realise the full implications of what they (BBC Archives) were doing, and they thought they were useless as they were only commisioned for 1 repeat since original broadcast on the BBC.

There is a toy of troughton coming out. I saw it on forbidden planet,com but, sadly, it's only available in the UK. :(

Not quite. All the colour episode exist in some form, but many from the eary 70's have had to be reconstructed from other sources and about a dozen are still missing the colour.
