I have been playing for over 20+ at top level, seen GM live 6 times, he does LOTS of mistakes (still love the guy). However, I have seen JS. w/ T Lizzy, Whitesnake & Blue Murder. Hiswork is simply impeccable, few people play with such accuracy & passion. Just don't come around & compare GM with JS it's just a very awful thing to do when you apparently don't know much about guitar players/guitars.

skilski2003- GM is a great guitarist, but never outplayed JS. Lizzy was still a struggling band w/ GM. in it. It took a guy like JS to give it more exposure precision, speed and melodies are simply out of this world. JS is both a rhythm & soloist of the best caliber. No disrespect to GM, but he was never at JS level. Besides, they both have very different styles.

Gary Moore can outplay Sykes, bottom line. The "little extra zing" that Sykes puts into Black Rose does not belong there. Yes, he's a great guitarist, but he can't match Moore. Since Lynott and Moore arranged this song so many years ago, Moore is the best to play it in rememberance of Philip. Peace.
