  • John Sykes has nothing on Phil, when i went to see them last year I thought he sounded terrible!

  • i beg to differ - i think sykes does a closer version of phil to gary moore...i think he does a very good voice in fact

  • if there is one thing sykes would stop doing it's the fucking pinch harmonics

  • Thin Lizzy and Sykes+Gorham still Rocks

  • I have been playing for over 20+ at top level, seen GM live 6 times, he does LOTS of mistakes (still love the guy). However, I have seen JS. w/ T Lizzy, Whitesnake & Blue Murder. Hiswork is simply impeccable, few people play with such accuracy & passion. Just don't come around & compare GM with JS it's just a very awful thing to do when you apparently don't know much about guitar players/guitars.

  • skilski2003- GM is a great guitarist, but never outplayed JS. Lizzy was still a struggling band w/ GM. in it. It took a guy like JS to give it more exposure precision, speed and melodies are simply out of this world. JS is both a rhythm & soloist of the best caliber. No disrespect to GM, but he was never at JS level. Besides, they both have very different styles.

  • Gary Moore can outplay Sykes, bottom line. The "little extra zing" that Sykes puts into Black Rose does not belong there. Yes, he's a great guitarist, but he can't match Moore. Since Lynott and Moore arranged this song so many years ago, Moore is the best to play it in rememberance of Philip. Peace.

  • Missing the great Brian Downey, but long live Thin Lizzy! I had the honor to meet John, Marco and Scott, and they are true gentlemen and performers extraordinaire!

  • Just So You Know,.. I Feel/Think,.. We Are Damn Lucky 2 have this current THIN LIZZY line up! I have seen them 3X In The San Francisco Bay Area, 10/03, 2/04 & Again At Bone Bash 5, Sept.4th,2006! You & I are Blessed, 2 Have Them Playing This Song & All The Rest! Sincerely,LoneWolf Lesbian,SpeedRacerX01 & NightRider001, Awaiting THIN LIZZY,Live, Dec.4th,2006 In San Francisco,Calif.!

  • The late great and sadly missed genius Phil Lynott would have been proud of this version. They don't play guitar like this anymore,THIN LIZZY RULED!!
