Nice contact. With the SWR you had, I would bet that the little ft-817 had folded-back to a lot less than 5W -- that makes it even more impressive! FT-817 and FT-857/97 is notorious for a very aggressive protection circuit.

Bet you do even better this year, now old Sol's perked up a bit. I'll be out bike portable on 10 metres this summer Es season, hopefully.
I remember my little girl hassling me mid-qso like that! You sort of miss it when it ends.
