Miramar Treatment 866.382.5442 | http://www.miramarlagunabeach.com The purpose of individual therapy in addiction treatment is primarily to evaluate and diagnose drug and alcohol related disorders, as well as other mental health disorders, develop a treatment plan to address and resolve those disorders to the extent possible, and to execute the drug and alcohol treatment plan. Only appropriately qualified and educated clinical professionals should provide individual therapy. The predominant modalities of primary therapy in addiction treatment include Cognitive-Behavioral, Psycho-Dynamic, Family Systems, Solution-Focused, and Motivational Therapy, among others. At the end of a successful course of individual therapy, the client can be as much as 80% improved compared to a sample of those who received no individual therapy in addiction treatment.
