  • Mr. Thompson, Mr. Moffat, Mr & Mrs. Hogbin.........the memories are flooding back. Mrs. Milverton! Bad for you if you were useless at PE and games. And those Domestic Science aprons - we had to make them. and Miss Terry - she taught us how to boil hankies in a saucepan.Thanks so much for posting this.

  • @kcorclux No, I started the year after, but my sister happily gave me daily reports of the filming. We lived just opposite the school and when it was on TV I kept running to the front window and looking out, then looking at the telly!

  • Those really were the days.... Looking back it and comparing it todays school life it looks like another age. Wow.

  • Secondary Modern Schools. And what do we have today? Academies. Yeah, right on.

  • @kcorclux I livedi n Horseshoe Lane, right opposite, it was roll out of bed, out the door and hey presto! Did you attend Francis Combe and live on that estate too?
