why use the roof wrap for house wrap?
artbandit69 11 months ago
@artbandit69 Where I live for a home, it is code that a house be wrapped, typically with Tyvec, to provide a layer of waterproofing. Tyvec is very expensive. Since this is just a shed I opted to use tar paper.

The right hand 12x12 side I made into an enclosed shed, with a floor.
The left hand 12x12 part has 3 walls, and 1 side open, without a floor. I back my trailer I use for hauling mulch and all into that part, so it is just a dirt ground.

How much did this cost?

This cost about $2700 in materials, and about 20 man-days of effort.

Hallo, very nice and informative video for someone who can watch and see. I am just planning to buil such a shed. It is really not very easy. My plan is such that I want to build an internal wall. Problem is that I do not have supports on both ends and the wall is going to rest on beams. Do you think it is going to be a problem, having in mind that the interna wall will have the same structure (weight) as the external ones? Thank you, I really need an expirienced answer.

Thanks. It is not difficult, but it takes a lot of work.
I am not exactly sure what you mean.
This has an internal wall that is load bearing.
I put 12x12 footers every 6 feet (including under the internal wall), then concreted them in.
I do not think having a load bearing wall without footers is a good idea, as the roof is extremely heavy.
Check your local building codes, as that takes into account soil types, wx conditions, etc.
Maybe I am misunderstood you!
Good luck.
