陈思坦老师自六岁开始他的武术生涯，1975年进入福建省武术队，为中国赢得第一块世界武术锦标赛男子太极拳金牌、第一块亚运会太极拳比赛金牌，他还是中国全运会太极拳比­赛冠军，在他20多年的运动生涯中，总共获得32枚各类太极拳比赛的金牌，赢得了太极王子的美誉。1997年从武术队退役后，陈思坦老师成为专职武术教练，在世界各地教授­太极拳，为太极拳的推广普及作出了重大贡献。陈思坦老师是美国国家武术裁判及授证教练，经他训练过的学生遍及世界各地，在他的学生中，两位获得过世界太极拳比赛的冠军，一­位来自瑞士的学生获得了欧洲太极拳比赛的冠军，另一位香港的学生则是东亚女子太极拳比赛的冠军。
Master Sitan Chen started his martial arts career at an early age of 6. In 1975, he was admitted into the Fujian Martial Arts team of China. During his whole career, Master Chen was awarded a total of 32 gold medals in all kinds of national and international Tai Chi competitions, which won him the nick name of Taiqi Prince. After his retirement in 1997, Master became a Taiqi Coach and his students come from all over the world. Among his students, two have been awarded the Gold medal in World Tai Chi Champions, one student from Switzerland has won the title of European Tai Chi Championship, and another student from Hong Kong became the Champion of East-Asia Womens Tai Chi Competition.
