@fuzzlylizzy I completely agree, this doesn't capture the spectacular the effect is.
-
i absolutely love the slow motion bit at the end!
it's just a shame the lights don't cut out quick enough at the end to prevent you seeing him with his feet firmly on the ground :')
it's not the best version by any standard, nobody will ever beat philip quast from the dream cast

@Poet2916 Then less people would shell out the big bucks to see the show live.
-
@Poet2916 It probably costs less. Plus, I think it's kind of cool, it's like a show, but only the music and important things.
-
Why can't they have a filmed live on stage version with all the staging instead of the actors just standing with microphones? =(

Saw Andrew Varella as Javert, and he was amazing. He stole the show, I swear. But I simply LOVE Earl Carpenter, as well.
-
I love Earl's interpretation of Javert, especially during this song. You really get the tortured soul aspect of the character. After "and must I now begin to doubt" he really seems to fear what he's about to do. Raw, honest acting. Love it.

does anyone have andrew doing this scene

I have this video if anyone is interested. PM me.
The video definitely doesn't capture the effect, it's so spectacular in person. Such a brilliant performance.
