Polaris Flies video shows Corneille, another great product that Tim developed while in exile during the Hidden Years. This is a cross between a braided cord and iridescent or metallic chenille -- Corneille! As this comes with a wire through it, Corneille doesn't flop around like other products. This is an easy fly with a NEW Fly Tying Material head that can once again be transformed over to a fresh water fly!

Corneille is another craft product that might fade altogether to fly tiers, as just as other products POLARIS FLIES tried to introduce to the industry have been discontinued by the material manufacturers. It does seem that the use of craft materials in fly tying keeps some going through this use. If one notices the eyes many of the smolt and minnow imitations from THE HIDDEN YEARS slide shows, those were braided 2mm glass seed beads. They were perfect for caddis bodies, quick and simple. So much for everyone asking, "Whatja using, craft items?"
