  • im a distance runner and im going to mainly focus on the 800 this year any pointers.

  • Learn how to sprint, Makes running the 800 easier, gives you more control over your speed.

  • i got a question....ok i can take of and smoke everyone its just once i get running i hit a barrior how i understand how to get running its just while im running

  • Look at your start for changes, you are running fast to soon, which means you are slowing down as other may still be speeding up.

  • Use your arms. Think more on getting arms to drive you forward, and your legs will follow..

  • if i were to drill this, would i approach it with a certain reps/sets and distance or what?

  • jump rope

  • i just let them relax into a natural closed sort of position, but not so that you have to focus on closing them coz ur focusing on running

  • i was told that if i took bigger strides that id be alot faster!! but i dont know much about running technique. pretty set in my ways in the style that i run. iv got very quick legs but my stride seems to get shorter and shorter as my legs speed up!! any ideas of how to fix this lol

  • cheers, i will try this in the parents race at my sons sports day later

  • depends on the person

  • Don't exactly want to have your hands flopping around, kind of tensed and straight out, but not fists.

  • For me i put my right leg in front cause it helps me get a good start

  • they do, but only to a certain point, there is a misconception that muscle strength is related to its size (to a certain degree) but look at athletes and body builders and you'll spot the difference
