the "lamp" is a xenon flash and can only be used with the still photo function. When taking a picture in the dark it will flash twice. once to get the focus and the other to take the picture.
This rep is not very good at her delivery! OIS is Optical Image STABILIZER not "sensor". I don't think she knows what she is talking about or at least not on this product. They need to use people who knows the specific tech products at these shows.
You can get the H100N (the one without a SSD) new or refurbished for around $180 USD on eBay, it uses SDHC.
how do you turnon the light? and how come my vids uploaded in widescreen?

Not full HD, up to 1080/60i so you only have 3 choices of recording 480/60p, 720/60p and 1080/60i (what they call FullHD), 1080/60p is FullHD
