It's another thing to argue that this was out by the books if the umpire thought the ball was not dead, but the truly incredible thing is ICC awarded New Zealand "Spirit of the Year" award this year.

You think the ICC cares about anything but the bottom line? They're the most incompetent governing body in all of sports. When an international body is made to bow before a national board you know you've got issues.

And I've played the game at a high level. I'm pretty well versed in the sportsmanship involved in cricket. There was nothing untoward about this passage of play. Murali deserved a kick up the backside for being so stupid.

Nothing remotely poor about the sportsmanship here. Ball wasn't dead and Muralitharan knew that.

Apples and oranges compared to the Bell run out, as Bell clearly thought the ball was dead.
