@danrodrigues They were cheering for the finish of the race. Notice how it got quiet when Edwards hit the fence and people shut up and started standing to see if they could figure out whether he was OK or not. The only people still cheering either didn't notice the 99 car flying by them or were too drunk to care.

Its so amazing how americans are so stupid, they celebrate crashes and people getting hurt. I wanted to see them celebrating that much if the car went straight throught the fence in the middle of the grandstand, that would be quite a show !!!!
