Eric and J.D. from Scene-Stealers.com review the new movie The Incredible Hulk, starring Edward Norton and Liv Tyler. It turns out this re-do remake sequel kind of thing is very similar to the Bill Bixby-led TV series The Incredible Hulk, way more so than the 2003 Hulk, directed by Ang Lee and starring Eric Bana, Jennifer Connelly, and Nick Nolte. Eric liked the earlier Hulk, by the way, and JD hated it, so things get pretty heated over The Incredible Hulk vs.the Hulk. • 1Lock- appreciate the comments, thanks!

1- We know that, but you can't deny that in its very set-up, the fugitive aspect of the Hulk was similar to the TV show, and therefore worth discussing. 2- It DID open doors to lots of possible storylines from the comics, you are right.

  • Ok guys, things to keep in mind.1- This was meant to be based on the comics story, the thing about the tv show was merely a tribute,2-It was a fantstic movie due to the facts that it opened quite a few doors for the future hulk story: the Leader, Supersoldier project, abomination itself, no to mention mr stark at the end i mean come on.

3-On the name thing, it has always been Bruce, yet on the TV show used David cause the prod thought Bruce was gay (4real, no sexist joke)Do ur homwork.

  • 3-Hom(e)work done. We know the name was different in the TV show. Listen closely to what we said; we were referring to the fact that in the movie, "Bruce" was slipped in there cleverly and we were discussing where that was in the film. We've seen the show. Didn't know they thought "Bruce" was too gay. Good tidbit, and ironic, this coming from the same decade that spawned the Village People and Burt Reynolds' mustache!

  • wow, an extremly weak review here.

  • how was it weak?

  • Just the way you two came off from the start. It seemed as if one of you really liked the movie and the other did not yet in the end you both didnt think it was all that great. Fanboyism aside the movie is very well made and a major improvement over ang lee's version. I believe the movie simply deserves more credit than you gave it.

  • yeah, its impossible to review it w/o comparison to the old one, which I liked and JD hated. But we both agree, this one was a decent version. Its funny how we come off depending on where that very short on-camera conversation takes us, but we know what rating we're going to give it before we start. What is always different is how we'l react to what the other person says. thanks for clarifying!

  • The only problem with the new Hulk is that they made him WEAK AS FUCK. On the last one he grabbed a Tank and threw it Like a fucking Frizbee. But on this one, he struggled to even lift a Army Tank. Good Movie, But if your gona Make this film Have INCREDIBLE in the Name of it, atleast make him strong as fuck man.

  • THE FIRST HULK HAD A BETTER STORY.

  • @degree7 lol I liked the other years ago at first but it had quite a bit of talk and not enough action and at the end the fight with him and his father didn't make much sense. Sure, the 2008 one didn't regenerate like in the 2003 one but perhaps by the time the Avenger movie comes out, they'll take notice on the one, along with other things Hulk can do like in the comics. But, no, the 2008 was much better and closer to the comic and payed some homage to the TV series, which I liked:)

  • I got this movie for 4 dollars =] at walgreens Great Deal!

  • Hulk 2003 is the best movie. I didn't like The Incredible Hulk, because Bruce Benner is small, he doesn't look like Hulk, Incredible Hulk doesn't regenerate quickly and he annoyingly shouts all the time. So Hulk 2003 is the best.

  • @degree7

Btw, the special effects looked like crap here.

Does anyone really think that this film can measure up to the wizadry of Industrial Light and Magic?

  • I thought the 2003 version was a lot more interesting, to say the least.

And let's be honest here, even Ang Lee's worst outing as a director trumps anything this Leterrier chap could make.

  • 3 Stars, my ass, AWSOMECARTOON99!!!

shame on you!!! you should get knocked over the head by frying pan and kicked dead in the balls for such bullshit ratings for this movie.

It's like floresed said, "The Incredible Hulk rules!!!!!!!!"

    5 STARS, hands down!!!!

  • Perspective91, what do you mean "It could be better"?!!! It was an amazing movie and believe it or not, was ranked as #1 movie in the world. I saw the tv last years tv reviews. I know what I heard. I waited for it to be shown again, just to see if I'm hearing correctly. And it said it. I know what I heard!!!!! And again, unlike Ang lee's version, this one became a hit and I had a good time seeing it in the theaters:)
