@umaga3501 They are virtually identical under the hood, but other than that, they are two different brands. Lincoln has a much higher price point. (Of course, Mercury is now gone)

@SDlawman In Hawaii Five O, Jack Lord ALWAYS drove Mercurys. Never Lincolns. His men drove Fords. The Governor Of Hawaii was the ONLY one in the series that had a Lincoln. And ,In the early years of the series, McGarrett drove a Mercury Park Lane, at that time Mercury's top-of-the-line model. later , the Mercury Marquis supplanted the Park Lane as the top-line Mercury model, and McGarrett traded in his Park Lane for the Mercury Marquis.

This is one of my all time favorite shows!! The cast was so amazing and I watch it everday! I'm only 20 years old but I fell in love with when I started watching all of the reruns. I've had a crush on both Jack Lord and James MacArthur and I still do! No show can compare to this one, not even the new one! The remake is just too violent.
