How to Overclock Pre With 720MHz and 800MHz Custom Kernels

In this tutorial I show you how to overclock your Pre's CPU using the 720 & 800MHz custom kernels developed by Pre|Central forum members unixpsycho and caj2008. This method of overclocking makes your Pre operate much faster and is much more safe than previous methods.

I've received several comments saying that these files have been set to private. The reason for them being set to private is because the developers are making an effort to get people to use a safer and easier method. I found the the files that I downloaded before the links were set to private and reuploaded them for you all. Please remember that this way of overclocking is old and not recommended.

Send to device destination- /var/home/root/
To install- sh /var/home/root/720MHzOS14.sh install
or alternativelysh /var/home/root/800MHzOS14.sh install

EDIT: These pactches ARE compatible with 1.4.1(.1). All you need to do is uninstall before update but leave the .sh file in /var/home/root/ and just do the install command when ready. This can also be done without a computer by downloading "Terminus" from Preware and installing as usual.

You uninstall by running the same command

instead of the word "install" type the word "uninstall"
