It was $50, including the beautiful table. When I bought it, the light was broken, and while the needle did go up and down, the thing just ate fabric. Wouldn't do a proper stitch. I spent a couple of hours cleaning and adjusting it this morning, et voila! (I thought it was a Singer 66, but it's really a 101.)

  • you need the 66525 part for your machine, the slide plate. I have a 1928 singer 101 too.

  • Congratulations! It's a beauty and sews like a dream. I'm currently buying a Featherweight on layaway. Two more payments and it's mine!!! Enjoy your new Singer!

  • I look at antiques this way: If you can give them a job to do and you can take care of them, by all means use them! That's exactly what they were meant to do! =D

  • thanks a mill

  • The list at singerco dotcom shows EB-000.001 to EB-705.753 as 1937

  • hi the serial number on my singer is EB368076, cant seem to find any info on it .... any help greatly appreachated..

  • Post the serial number and I can tell you what model it is for sure and date it was made.

  • It's a great machine - the first one with a built-in ("potted") motor. You should be able to find a throat plate (to cover the bobbin) pretty easily. Congratulations on a nice find!

  • That is fantastically smooth running how did you do that? :P I wish my old machine was that smooth...

  • Wow that's a great price. And, all problems aside, it is gorgeous!
