@forloveoffilm - Thanks for the info.Always good to know where the real credit should go. Same with Taxi Driver - the 2nd unit did the opening for that film not Scorsese.

@PZK12 The vast majority of the opening montage was the work of 2nd unit DP Fred Blankfein and, of course, Susan Morse, the editor.

they're writing songs of love but not for me ! the hair falling and then being tucked back behind her ear and the sad eyed smile are movie perfection ! even though he is a self centered dick in the film

The music at the end is 'Rhapsody in Blue'. It is Gershwin's love poem to New York. It is used throughout the film. Take a look at the opening sequence to see Allen's brilliance as a director. His opening montage showing his love for New York is exceptional.

what magic. I agree one of the great moments in film. great ending. Allen has a gift for picking the perfect music to accompany his films. the music just makes it perfect.
