I love Yahtzee at Zero Punctuation and the work he does. But sometimes he gives great games horrible reviews just cause its his job. Great videos though. Check 'em out:

Yahtzee is a great source for entertainment and hes hilarious but u have to keep in mind hes a game critic, he gets paid to criticize games not review them, so u will have to go elsewhere if youre actually looking for a review

all yahtzee does is say what any body with half a brain is thinking in my experience when ive came acrross someone who gives the same reasons why they dont like him they tend to be more retarded than the point of this video.

Also he usually doesn't condemn the whole game.

So it shouldn't be hard to hear and consider criticism.

Yahtzee's is mostly not unfounded, so the only argument I hear is "He's intentionally trying to shit on games".

But that ignores the criticism itself. It's a way to dismiss it without retorting.

Disagreeing with criticisms is one thing, but you seem to disagree with the act of criticizing.

It shouldn't bother you unless you already bought the game and need reassurance that you didn't waste 60$

I've yet to find one criticism of his that wasn't legitimate and supported by reasonable points.. It doesn't mean he's right, but it does mean you shouldn't be upset, because he's not just insulting.

I don't see why you need reviewers to tell you if you should buy a game or not. You can always see gameplay and judge for yourself.

I'd rather Yahtzee didn't compromise his integrity by being lenient towards a game's faults in hopes that his viewers will buy it. He's not an advertiser (*coughs* IGN)

1. You can figure out the meaning of a phrase based on context...

2. He has stated on many occasions that he doesn't see himself as a "reviewer" but as a game critic. He always points out the flaws rather than giving you a blurb for the box art. He'd rather talk about video games as an art form than sell you on a game.

On the other hand, it would be hard to categorize this video as either a review or a critique as it is more of a rant than anything else.
