@Juggle1121 He was a Yonko before he lost his arm and maintained the title regardless. It's been stated that the loss of an arm has had little to no effect on his abilities.

WB is old and ill but shanks still be able to clash with WB with only one arm. But WB is still stronger than Shanks. Shanks is also very powerful he became a yonko AFTER he loses his arms. Rayleigh is stronger than Shanks then. Now, I think Shanks is almost same as Rayleigh it is very hard to tell cause Rayleigh is old now and Shanks only has one arm but arm doesn't really matter.

@zankai4the1ending This is One Piece you're discussing here. I don't think one arm would make a difference between who's stronger. There has been a whole lot of characters with all of these crazy shinenigan/powers and abilities that is just ridiculous.

@effie23 He's not AT the same level as WB, but he's one of the only people in the entire damn world who could actually fight the man 1-on-1. The others being Garp, Sengoku, and Rayleigh. And I'd say he's the weakest of the four, though not by a huge amount.

Also, Rayleigh treats swimming across the Grand Line and Calm Belt like a minor annoyance, while Shanks would have trouble with that with both arms. People seem to forget that you can actually do a 180 without realizing it on the Grand Line.

@zankai4the1ending the arm should be out of the discussion. Logically, whitebeard was able to match up with roger. Even though he is old he was still a monster but shanks is almost or maybe already at the same level as whitebeard. No disrespect to rayleigh he is definitely one of the strongest character in the whole one piece world (i mean STRONG)! :)
