@Patrickg95 Actually the only thing to blame for Ash's loss is the fact that he is retarded. Ash in this battle has Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Pigeotto, Squirtle, and Charizard. That's only 5 pokemon. He's allowed to have one more but no of course ash being an idiot didn't bring 6. Sure after team rocket's bullshit he didn't have time to switch out and yes you can't switch mid battle but then that still leaves question to as why Charizard was ever in his line up to begin with. Answer: Ash is stupid.
