Flite Test Mission Statement:
Flite Test was created for people passionate about RC flight. Our hope is to create a show for the people that build and fly planes and helicopters as a hobby. They are the dreamers and engineers that get a thrill from the first hand launch of a maiden flight. The show will personify the veteran and the beginner alike giving them a chance to share common experiences with others, in turn, enhancing the RC community. The goal is to develop a creative outlet that allows us to work in our passion daily. Flite Test is designed to cater to the audience. It has just enough humor, technology and information to appeal to the RC flight crowd as a whole. We hope to empower, entertain and educate as we move forward with quality content.

  • at first i thought Joab is having a stitch on his lips... specially when josh said he is new in the hobby.. so first thing pops up in my head was "a prop did a bad job in this guy;s lips"...

any way, very very helpful episode. keep up the good work guys.

  • @flyhalabi It was indeed a prop accident, and they ran out of stitches in the ER. :)

  • what antena did you use for fpv receiver

  • please post the link for all the parts

  • in regards to his lip! I THINK ITS CALLED A LIP RING. what you expect a tiny rc on his lip

  • You should open the tx before you connect the battery otherwise you imagine ;-)

  • Highway to the danger zone -

  • great work Joab, a breath of fresh air to FT!

  • @cod4madass Most likely it's the Spektrum transmitters and DSM2. DSM2 can do funny things, locking onto 2 channels, but using only one. Interference and shadowing can get planes down quickly. This issue occures a lot more often than the math suggests. Also DSMX still has more issues than the average FHSS system.

  • @PHeMoX i might spend a bit more money and order the 5.8ghz. i have alot of friend having problems with 2.4Ghz Bleed Over and "browning out" and losing the model. good luck!

  • @cod4madass Yeah! Same thoughts here. If it's 2,4Ghz video and 2,4Ghz radios, then they were begging for trouble. For what it's worth, I sometimes fly near power pylons and they do not usually cause any interference. Worst thing that can happen is flying into a cable.

  • I don't like Jobe
