  • It's official. When shit happens, God's right behind it. What about the devil? ehe? Where's the devil when bad things happen? How about when GOOD things happen. Who/whom do we give the credit to? ehe? Anyone, Anyone?............I'm waiting. Let's just see who the smart cookie to come up with an answer to that one, which I think shouldn't be so tough!

  • @alwerks1 that's an odd response to this video. where is there any suggestion of God doing anything bad in this video? the only thing i can think of is killing Jesus. was that wrong of God?

anyway, as an atheist, i don't think god is behind the shit in the world, cos there is no god.

  • @gothatfunk I have no idea what alwerks point was, but I can say that God sent Jesus to the living so he could: Show the world that you can live blameless and to sacrifice himself (AKA being crucified) as substitute for us. We dont deserve heaven, but Jesus died to give us that pathway to God and heaven. Not trying to force you to believe, just making short explanation of the bible. Even Albert Einstein said "Evil is a word that explains a lack of God"

  • @justjakk well, kudos to you for trying to explain the bible in less than 500 characters. frankly, i can't understand how anyone can really believe any of that stuff. to me, its self evidently ridiculous. if it helps you live in peace and gives your life added meaning, then i'm glad for you, really.

none of it makes any sense to me though.

  • @nirvanshul I am sure that you have come to the same conclusion that everyone has and the same as myself. Does this mean that we stop loving homosexual people as friends, family and human beings? No. I would hope that passages like that in the bible isnt a reason for not believing. Though, the bible does preach free will over predestination. It is your choice and no one should force you to believe.

  • @nirvanshul I'm sorry for making such an error. No, I dont mean to dismiss the wrongs of christians or any religious person. I was bringing up that there are evil people who claim to be religious. Children are very important because they are what the kingdon of heaven is made up of. And not the actual children, but the faith of a child. I apologize for the misunderstanding again. I did not mean for it to be taken that way.

  • @justjakk And it is just standard christian procedure to dismiss their wrong doings like you did right there by saying "Sure, there have been priests who have molested children". I wonder what you would think if your children face the same fate someday. But you shouldn't mind it anyway because "these are what his kingdom is made of"

  • @justjakk okay so speaking of things which the bible states clearly and is the word of god and therefore has no possibility of being twisted or perverted, please explain to me what your position would be on this verse:

"Leviticus 20:13 - "If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.""

  • @nirvanshul And if we bring up all the evils that are done by religious people, I would say that their view of God was twisted and perverted. Take the Westboro Baptist Church. The bible clearly reads that you are to love your neighbor, treat everyone as you would like to be treated and serve others. The WBC holds protests for funerals. Sure, there have been priests who have molested children. Jesus said "These are what my kingdom are made of." One would never destroy his/her own kingdom.

  • @nirvanshul True, he said that also. But at the same time, he did have an idea that the preconceived nothion of "God" was powerful enough that without a belief in this "word", people would do things that would be considered evil. You may not have to believe in God or any form of religion, but you should at least believe that the "idea" that was written, talked, professed and sacrificed for makes a difference in a normal persons actions.

  • @justjakk "The word God is for me nothing more than the expression and product of human weaknesses, the Bible a collection of honourable, but still primitive legends which are nevertheless pretty childish."

    Albert Einstein.

  • There is no such thing as god, and no man ever lived 2000 years ago who was called "Jesus".
