  • Looking at both clips (and expecting the bike) it looks like both are very visible, but I'm sure that a pulsing light will get your attention quicker when you're just glancing.

What about the bulb's life, does the modulating effect shorten it's life? Or does it even extend it?

  • @pjdaprinz I wondered the same thing, so I asked the manufacturer about that and he told me he didn't think the modulator would either shorten nor extend the life of the bulb. Numerous studies have shown that a blinking (or pulsing) light attracts the human eye more than a comparison steady light. That is why all emergency vehicles (police, fire, rescue, EMT, etc) have all their emergency lights and headlights flashing by numerous means. It makes them "standout" and much more noticeable.

  • I'm all about high viz. Certainly cant hurt.

    Ride safe!

  • @cdwolf Yep! Thanks for watching!

  • I can't give a non-bias answer. I also have mod's on ALF. I personally think you get noticed Still ride defensive but I really think they help.

  • @theSMYRNAcowboy I agree and I know that people in cars can see you much easier.

  • I just got a Ninja 250 and definitely plan to install a modulator. But what about the rear and sides? For the sides, some people say loud pipes, but others say that's a crock. What about a modulator for the rear taillight?

  • @RC62 Thanks for your comment!

  • @n4mwd Exactly, that's the point, you're more noticeable to cagers.

  • Although a motorist probably thinks that the guy on the motorcycle has a loose wire or something, the fact is that he noticed them. And that's what you want.

  • Oops, guess I didn’t actually answer your question...Wish YT would allow comment editing. Modulated was much more noticeable!

  • Anything that helps others see you (and is legal) is a good thing in my book! :^)
