Back in the 80's I grew up listening to Colauita, Weckl, chambers, Steve smith, Simon phillips, Manu K, Smitty Smith etc. But Phil's straight ahead playing always impressed me.

I'll go one further beanabadger, at 4:47 Phil looks away from his right hand and does a superb fill on his tom's without looking. And his snare mic and sound is unreal.

Thumbs up if you think it would be cool to hear the DRUM track, isolated from the rest of this mix? Just listen to what Phil is doing....

"We'd like to play a new song now." Aaah man, I wish I was around when Chinese Way was a new song. It would've been amazing to hear it on the radio all the time :)
just great.. it sounds as if they played playback, though it is live!! PERFECT!!!

The whole Live at Wemble 1986 video mixed from two different footage. From a real live video and a mimed footage at the close shots. I don't know the reason, maybe they or the organisers didn't want the camera crew on the stage in live.
The two big "mistakes" or most noticeable events are on the Fashion Fever (Boon's two different type of guitar in same time in his hands) and the Hot Water (two different red Jaydee basses).
