@4everhorserider i did my second show the other day. get rid of the nerves because they screw you up big time. lol and its soo much fun you will get there and just have a blast. especially in the behinds environment. i met like a bizillion new people. its so fun
i never had any problems riding both, because i show in breed shows, and i started english as a young girl to learn my balance while jumping. and then i went to western and i loved both so now i do all around

Ah. But you started English and went to Western. That was our point. Haha. It's easier to establish good balance riding bareback/english first and then switching to Western. ;)

I ride English, but I have always wanted to try Western. Would it be easier going from English to Western? Then Western to English?

I was always told English to Western is easier. Simply because you learn to balance without the horn on the saddle.
