UFO Jan. 2, 2011 near Hot Springs, AR

I got up about 3:45 am on Jan. 2 to check on dogs barking. Went to back door and was looking out glass doors when noticed large bright light over distant mountain tops in the eastern sky. Mountains about 15 miles from my view. It was much too bright to be star and much larger than anything else that night. It was a clear night with no cloud coverage with a sliver of moon. I watched and thought it might be a tower on the mountain(for airplanes) of some sort but it was too bright compared to other towers in the area. I noticed it had some blinking lights-so I thought airplane- but noticed red, green and yellow lights. The object itself seemed to change color. I grabbed video camera and proceeded to fumble with camera and video the object. The object remained stationary for the 1 1/2 hours viewed. Several witnesses from the area saw it as well. As I was watching it, it seemed to be pulsating and translucent. In the video it was not moving-that was my hand shaking due to lack of tripod.
(The news media did have a report of some blackbirds falling out of sky during nighttime hours the night before but it was many miles from here to northeast-don't know if related in anyway.)

iam in edmonton alberta saw the same thing on new years eve 3 of them, they went over the house we could here a slight humm it was crasy they were coming 1 after another about 5 min apart thought at first it was chiness laterns, but we could see them really good and what ever it was was it was not a latten even when the fire woks started there was nothing like it. kinda had a red color to them and very bright could see them comming from across the city and kept on going

My wife and I have been seeing these in the night skies for months and everyone says we are crazy, that they are just stars or satellites. We live just outside of Dallas, Tx in the Cedar Creek Area and see them nightly. we see them make eratic movement in small patterns as well as blink in the red, green and white/yellow color. WHAT R THESE?

I saw this in Hot Springs also. It was obviously not the same as anything else in the sky. With the naked eye you could see it pulsing.

I live in Dallas Tx and we saw the same big bright light same date around 4:30 am coming from 635 west to East standing just in the sky. it was not a start no way.

I LIVE IN TEXAS & I SEEN THE SAME THING TONIGHT, ALL OF THE DOGS IN NEIGHBORHOOD WERE BARKING. I ALSO NOTICED THAT IT SEEMED TOO BRIGHT, I TOOK MY SON'S SMALL TELESCOPE OUTSIDE & WHEN I GOT IT FOCUSED IT LOOKED KIND OF LIKE THE MOON, PERFECTLY ROUND, WHITE WITH WITH COLORS NEAR THE OUTER PARTS.
