.: Thank god we now have superb recordings of our art and music... stuff like this video and the multitudes of other and similarly well recorded media will prove to further the global re-thinking of "bagpipes" - I had company over last night whose general understanding of pipe(band) music was enlightened by just watching a simple BBC recording of the Worlds... on youtube. Now they're like "oh, wow... Ian. I guess bagpipes are actually cool." ... it's started :.

Why is it only Jack Lee in all these interviews when Terry's the pipe major? It's always Jack, Jack, Jack in all of the interviews. Nothing wrong with that, esp. since he's very well spoken and intelligent, but it would be nice to hear from the actual pipe major of SFU once in a while. What, is Terry the "shy Beatle"?

@Postie1 On Pipes|Drums Magazine on-line they had a poll about that very topic and an overwhelming majority of people are in favor of a world Pipe Band Championship that would move around each year

Our Pipe Band's going to be hanging out with SFU some this Summer at the Worlds. I'm pumped. Having your old Pipe Major in a top Grade 1 Band does wonders ;)
so do they like compete foreal and then have all the camras cime in after and do it again. or do they do it during the real competion?
