I remember seeing the theatrical posters for this one (among many other horror movies) back in the day of the early 70's and also remember when it premeired on WPIX 11 (NY) on the Chiller Theatre show.
I have the DVD, and it was, in a way, a gathering of some of the most popular stars of yesteryear, including J. Carroll Naish, Angelo Rossito, and Lonn Chaney Jr, AND it starred Forrest J. Ackerman, the man behind all those Famous Monsters Of Filmland!
