Birthdays have a way of sneaking up on you. For Salmon Water Now, that is particularly true.

Salmon Water Now is suddenly two-years old! To "celebrate" this unexpected longevity, we have a new video (we'd rather have a birthday cake but a new video seems more appropriate). The new video is called How Salmon Are Now.

Birthdays are a good time to reflect on what's been going on and to contemplate what's ahead. In the case of salmon, there is good news to report but that news needs to be viewed in the context of some sobering realities.

We're proud to be associated with a growing number of Californians who are standing up and fighting to pull salmon back from the edge of extinction. But at the same time, we wish that the work we have been doing and continue to do wasn't needed. Regrettably salmon, and the people who want them to thrive, require our constant vigilance because the species is not yet out of danger.

As we enter our third year, we want to thank you for your support of our efforts at making what is wrong, right again. And thank you, too, for celebrating our birthday!
