@detroitareadork Ha-ha! Yah, that's funny because it's true! She played here in L.A. last month and the same kind of passive awkward clapping occurred when we were invited to be "part" of the song. Sometimes I think it's easier for people to drunkenly "sing" along and ignore their inhibitions/fears/insecurities that way, rather than have to face the hugely telling physical demonstration that is hand clapping, quickly revealing their lack of innate sense of rhythm. :)
@islandsq I'd like to think that we lost our concentration because we were so enchanted, but laziness plays a part too.
