Got my iPhone 4 on July 30th, the Canada release date. I have not had a problem with the reception. My bars do lower very slowly if I put it in the death grip, but holding it in the way I usually do nothing happens at all.
The media has definitely over publicized this issue that only effects a small percentage of users.

cool phone. Im still going to wait for Samsung Galaxy S coming August 7 on Bell Network.
Its the only true IP4 competitor, and a worthy one aswell!

@Mellllllllllll Yeah I'm very happy with it.
The iphone 4 and the galaxy S both have 1ghz processors, and it's virtually impossible to tell the difference between the retina display and the super amoled. The 2 phones are very comparable.
The Galaxy looks like a great phone, have fun with it!
