This is the first time I've ever seen a KANN CoCollector in person! This truck just seems really long in person! Very interesting system, and a definite upgrade from their older side load curb-sort trucks.

These trucks are almost brand new! Neither George or I knew these would be in this area. Definitely an unexpected find! I didn't even know we had any of these in Florida!

This truck has a Crane Carrier Company Low Entry Tilt (LET2) chassis with a Kann CoCollector residential front load body. It is on a dual stream residential recycling route for the City of North Port, FL - Department of Public Works - Solid Waste Division.

HUGE THANK YOU to the friendly drivers and crew members serving the City of North Port, Florida.

  • Nice! This truck actually seems very ineficient with tubs. 2 questions,

1 Where you filming with George?

2 George is Georgewuzheer right? Nice vid though!

  • @bdmcneilusmsl Yes I was filming with George aka georgewuzheer. There were several trucks in a relatively small area so he has some footage like mine and other different footage.

  • Nice , I like how the drop the recycling bins like AAA does.

  • @lawnboy1010 Thanks! This truck was definitely interesting to see in person.

  • EXCELLENT video!

  • i love KANN truck its a shame WM got rid of a lot of them :( Nice video

  • love it faved and liked!!!!!!

  • fav

  • Very slow, you need to c the waste management trucks, plus so unsafe...

  • back when we had a fl for recycle the guy would put the container up every stop beacuse he was afraid of the truck clerances

  • ... and I like the bright blue and yellow crates =] Pretty good operator, taking it easy and professional with leaving most of the bins upside down... fancy job at 9:40 lol Looks like a cool job to get into, the rural setting is always appreciated - neat driving shotat the end and following 7:20. Then those arms are crazy fast too - I thought they were speedy on the way up, then I saw them DROP on the way down!!! Awesome post!

  • I've always been curious to get a look at one of these spit front loaders, very interesting machines altogether. Do you know how the packing mechanisms work on this truck? I believe you've got the bottles going into the top compartment and the paper down below, but are there some kind of ram packers - I noticed what I think are twin cylinders sticking out the right hand side of the cab shield. Nice to see another place which still has manual recycling collection as well...

  • Nice! That's a Plastican bin (yellow one) at 1:44, I've never seen them used before in a city. Although they were made for a long time so I'm sure there's a lot of them around.

  • my hat is off to you both! Did the driver have anything negative or positive to say concerning the chassis itself? Very curious tp know how these newe CCC's are performing

  • thats funny i have a couple wm mack le kanns by me but the older body style. Another nice combo of vids. you even got him dumping the can on the go lol
