In the middle of one of the greatest songs ever, Cat gently reminds us that 'love is better than a song!'. My song is a finger pointing, but it's not the way, the moon, or even love...it's a commercial vehicle. Or a loving commercial vehicle? A catalyst! What humility and better still, perspective this handsome gentleman has. His quiet, his roar, his play, his liberation: all soothe me. Plus he has gorgeous style
Goddess Love Bless and Keep you always, dear Cat! Love Blonde Dylan, NYC

i saw this movie, when it came out, at 18 years old after moving to key west . it is by far the most inspiration movie on so many levels, including the music. itwas and remains to this day , 40 years later, not only my favorite film, but the most impactful.

I must have seen Harold and Maude over 25 times as a young adult. I think Cat Stevens, Ruth Gordon and Bud Cort were like old friends everytime I saw that movie. No one's music could be more perfect for that movie than Cat Stevens!

@78lecamino I love Harold and Maude..I loved the music on it. He really defined my early twenties with his music. I agree with u in my mind he is a musician first. I wish I could see him in concert with these old songs! Let me go with u if he ever does do a concert! BTW, in the movie Bud Cort and Ruth Gordon really were in love in real life. Its in her book!

I Love this, so much truth to Yusuf Islam's music Much Praise words to live by. Thankyou for this post I went to see Harold and Maude by accident when I was 13 years old I don't think any movie made me think and feel more openly then Harold and Maude what a great movie so much honesty and reality. I still remember the feeling walking out of the theatre My friends and I. I am 46 years old still magical.
Cat Stevens music is slowly become more important to me than The Beatles, I'm a huge beatles fan, cat just gets me, though I'm in my twenties, his music has made me a better person and has tought me to love everyone, even though i do not agree with his religon it's ok cause thats his path and I love the man and would in second go see him in concert, and if i ever met him I would scream and giggle like little school girl, I'm sixfoot one two hunderd and twenty pound boxer lol

It's strange how we link songs to a dead loved one. It hurts, but feels good at the same time. It lets me know that I'm still here; that I'm still alive.
