The City of Green Bay has purchased Elvis Presley's favorite roller coaster (built in 1912) for the cost of $10,000 from the City of Memphis. Elvis would rent the Libertyland amusement park for a day at a time to avoid the crush of fans. The Zippin Pippin, one of the oldest wooden roller coasters in the U.S., has just opened at the Bay Beach Amusement Park on the Bay of Green Bay, a family amusement park with rides costing between 25 cents and $1 since 1892 - a fantastic effort on the part of the City of Green Bay to make family entertainment affordable to ALL.
Awesome ride
