“Occidental Park” suggested by Mark Griffith.

I was drawn to the Seattle-ness of the name and realized I've never named a tune for a location. I also liked the idea of paying something back to the park where I've enjoyed so many First Thursdays Art Walks and concerts.

E-mail comment: Emerging Spring. Spring Awakening. I listened to it twice with my eyes closed. My first thoughts were of a variety of buds and shoots just beginning to emerge on a warm spring day. The view panned out to take in a larger vista of rebirth. Then in the middle a little bit more melancholy like a late spring snow, followed by the renewed warmth of the sun. Probably not where you were thinking, but this is what it created in me with no forethought. Oh yea, I liked it a lot. - Dave

"West End Avenue." It reminds me of strolling down West End Ave on the upper west side in New York around 8pm (which is what I was doing last night on my way to rehearsal). West End is a block of Broadway. It's more quiet and calm than Broadway but still has purpose and direction. People were out casually walking their dogs on their way to Riverside Park amidst the great architecture. I miss the longer hair! Still handsome though. - Mechelle

Ok, so I hope this is the right place. I suggest the tune's name is "Ashen Fields", because it reminds me of driving through the German country side pre-spring, snow melted, and the fields spread with ashes to promote growth. I feel very inspired with this tune, and have a specific visual that years for green, sun, and the promise of spring.
