and i thought only my generation was ignorant to good music... Killswitch Engage, mark knopfler, iron maiden, dream theater, paul simon, avenged sevenfold. all of which are fantastic composers, writers, and performers, and most of which have releases within the last 2 years.

i weep for those who refuse to see past the thinly veiled world of todays music, its not that hard to find the gems... even if it means getting past the garbage. and even then hasint this always been the case?

For those who think today's music isn't so bad, and you can't understand why old people would be "hatin on it", may I reference the Usher song, "Oh my gosh", with the following lyrics:

"Honey got a booty like pow pow pow, Honey got some boobies like wow, oh, wow".

Now the fact that there's a word in those lyrics with more than one syllable is surprising to me. Since this collosal failure is considered music, I weep for the future.

It looks like 80's New York city was the place to be..... I was'nt there, but man i wish. We can all dream of what it might of been like through movies and brilliant songs like this. And the 70's New York of "Taxi Driver" well, where do you start??
