Inseparable - A JB Love Story [Chapter 8, Part 2]

In the last part, Joe and Jaydlyn started off their date well, and they are having a pretty good conversation, too.

Joe: So, here's a good question: Who, or what, inspires your songs?
Jaydlyn: You know, I think that everyone in the band has written at least one song. I have written two. I guess what inspired mine would be just previous experiences, and your music. Seriously. I like your music. And when I mix my ideas and thoughts with what you guys use, I think that it's really good. But I also like Demi Lovato. I like her music, too. And Kutless.
Joe: I've never heard of that.
Jaydlyn: It's a Christian rock band. They are really good. Anyways, I liked your "A Little Bit Longer" CD.
Joe: What was your favorite song?
Jaydlyn: Can't Have You. You know, actually, I'm stuck between that one and Pushin' Me Away.
Joe: The songs that didn't make this album will be on our next one, "So So Wonderful."
Jaydlyn: You already have a name? Wow.
Joe: Yeah, we kinda had to have one, because we had all these extra songs.
Jaydlyn: Wow, that's pretty cool.
Joe: You know, you're so easy to talk to. You can be funny at times, even when I'm stupid, and you can still have fun with me. Then you know how to actually have a conversation. People always think that because I'm goofy at times on TV, or YouTube, they have to be goofy all the time, and it gets annoying. But you are yourself. I mean-
Jaydlyn: I get it. I hate fake people.
Joe: And posers.
Jaydlyn: Yeah.
Waiter: Here is your food. Enjoy.
Both: Thank you.
Joe: Well, this sure looks good. Maybe I won't yell at you.
Jaydlyn: I don't know. Hopefully.
*Jaydlyn faces downwards and closes her eyes*
Joe: What?
*She holds one finger up. A few seconds later she holds her head back up and starts eating*
Joe: Are you okay?
Jaydlyn: Yeah, I was praying over my food.
Joe: Oh.
Jaydlyn: Like, what if something bad is in your food? You wouldn't know unless you saw it.
Joe: Point taken. What do you say?
Jaydlyn: "FatherinthenameofJesusLordIthankyouforthisfoodIamabouttorecieveforthenourishmen­tofmybodyandanythingthatisnotsupposedtobeinthisfoodIaskyoutopleasetakeitoutforth­ehealthofmybodyinJesusnameIprayAmen."
Joe: Okay, what about in English?
Jaydlyn: Just say, "Thank you Lord for my food. Please purify it. Amen."
Joe: Thank you Lord for my food. Please purify it. Amen?
Jaydlyn: Great. Now you can eat.
Joe: Do you just have that prayer memorized?
Jaydlyn: Actually, yes. And I can say in about five seconds. I've been saying that for years.
Joe: That's funny.
Jaydlyn: I guess. But it's better to be safe than sorry.
Joe: Yeah. This food is really good.
Jaydlyn; So you won't yell at me. Great.
Joe: Hey, like maybe we should go out and get ice cream sometime.
Jaydlyn: *laughs* You're already setting up dates before the last one is over?
Joe: I'm not really one to do the normal stuff.
Jaydlyn: I see. Well, maybe.
Joe: Well, you tell me.
Jaydlyn: You know, you never gave me your number.
Joe: Really?
Jaydlyn: No. You asked for mine.
Joe: Then I'll give it to you when we leave. Sorry.
Jaydlyn: It's cool.
Joe: This food is amazing.
Jaydlyn: I can tell you like it. Hey, I heard you're a big fan of apples with peanut butter. So am I!
Joe: Are you serious?
Jaydlyn: Yeah, I've eaten it since I was like, eight.
Joe: Oh, well I just discovered it. And it's good.
Jaydlyn: Yeah, I like it, too...Hey, let's get out of here.
Joe: To the beach?
Jaydlyn: I guess, let's go.
Joe: Okay, I'll pay for the food.
Jaydlyn: Okay. I'll wait here until you get back. No, I'll get a blanket and your guitar out of the car. Meet me back here.
Joe: Okay.
About three minutes later, they were back in the room.
Joe: You ready?
Jaydlyn: Yeah. Let's go.
*They walked through the back doors and out to the beach. The sun was just beginning to set.*
Joe: This is beautiful.
Jaydlyn: Yeah. Oh my gosh.
Joe: *turns to Jay* Jay, I like being with you.
Jaydlyn: I like being with you, too.
Joe: I mean, I like seeing your sweetness come out, and you put a smile on my face all the time. You bring joy to my rather hectic life, and I enjoy staring into your eyes and knowing that I'm not dreaming. And I know this is only the second date, but this is what's going through my head.
Jaydlyn: Wow. That's really how you feel?
Joe: In very little words.
Jaydlyn: Wow.
Joe: Basically, I just wanted to know...
Jaydlyn: Oh my gosh.
