The economy was the key focus of the Prime Ministers Office strategic plan. This is the latest in a series of initiatives such as Vision 2030 and others that have focussed on the economy. However, as Basset Buyukah reports, it is factors such as official corruption that have persistently undermined economic growth.
Do u think kenya doesnt have scholars and engineers?....we do its just that lack of jobs in the country has forced them to go to western countries where jobs are accesible.if there were jobs provided by kibaki, then they would have stayed to build kenya.

the accent is due to their mothertongues and its not something to be ashamed of if ur kenyan.....its also a way that helped us to know where someone is from just because of his accent.its like america....theres south accent and a whole lot more accents.

I'm too distracted to comment. That accent is so disturbing. This is a formal appeal to NTV - PLEASE, PLEASE teach your news readers/journalists how to present while on TV. I dont think they go through even the most basic of training.
I live in the US and I can tell you that most Kenyans here don't pretend to talk like Americans or whatever - even the ones who have lived here for 20+ years.

Sleeping Giant? Kenyans are so ill informed about international economy and where Kenya really lies. For starters, the entire population of Kenya can fit in to worlds major cities likeCulcuta Mexico City, etc. The entire Kenayn economy is no bigger than the economy of a mid-size western city effective making our president comparable to a mayor in these cities.India has more engineers than our entire population, for example. But because we are blind to these realities we still think we are something

I hear you, he's lost somewhere between British and US accent. He don't realize it's hard to do both. I noticed that when he was reporting on last US elections, but give him time he might improve considerably,
