If I am right, then this is one of the earliest M&B beta versions. I remember that there was a bunch of black knights or something in the southern parts of the map. v 0.7 I think it was.

@omfg4000 Thats what you do whenever you block against a thrust. You parry it away. There is no good animation for it but if you look closely you bounce it off with you're sword. Metal + Metal = Still two metal. The engine cannot handle breaking blades. Not to mention its a video game first and a simulation second. And breaking blades would be a huge problem with gameplay.
Its the most realistic medieval fighting game out there. So why complain...

Problem with game is that combat it still abstract and not realistic. Shields and blocks are like impenetrable barriers if you execute the right command. Blocking a thrust with a spear should be impossible or nearly impossible but it is possible. Slashing it away should be possible ut its not possible.
