Actually, you can. The TC/2000 was offered with a manual transmission in the early years of manufacture. It was located right next to the driver and the "doghouse" or engine bay

@ICDave when I was little my school had a bus just like this with a manual transmission, i assumed the shift bar just went back a ways somehow
