Here is the exciting conclusion of the semi final match between Paul Koehler and Steve Hoskins. What a thrill it must have been bowling in front of so many people. Both bowlers had to be pumped after this match!

1:05 Bo Burton referring to "technology strikes" as in resin reactives with great carry?

That's what I understood his reference to be...i.e., had he been urethane, he wouldn't have struck.

they bowled qualifying at Bowl One in Troy, see the 1994 US OPEN, which was held at Bowl One as well..but the finals weren't at Joe Louis Arena. Bowl One, at the time was wood, and these lanes were installed by AMF specifically for the telecast. Bowl One has since gone to synthetics..

I bet 4 lanes were borrowed for the tournament.

    I think that's a 40 lane alley.

    William.

Listen to Hoskins' last shot on the air and Koehler's scout at the front of this tape... it's a toss-up, but one or the other has to be the loudest I have ever heard a crowd during any bowling tournament.

Amazing what happens when you've got 7,200 close, personal friends standing by, eh? :)
