Go to http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270359208149&ssPag... if you would like to have a commission of one of your favorite comic book characters. This is my first painting of any of the comic book characters that I have done. This was a commission painting of the DC superhero, The Martian Manhunter.

  • nice job! yea I love comic book charcters! i'm a bit of a nerd to! LoL!!! the thing is the detail on all of these paintings are spectaculer! all you have to do is use water color then oils for that much detail? is it easy doing this? because tommorow i'm going to start painting.

  • Hi Vay72, I actually use acrylics first just to get everything separated and then I go to the oils. It takes time to and patents to do detailed paintings.

  • oh ok. what is the diffrents between water color and acrylics? diffrent textures or how smooth it is. or does depend how the acrylics work better with oil?

  • Watercolors depend on water to paint with them and is very transparent. Where as acrylics is more opaque and can be used with other medium or water. You can use either one for the under painting for oils or just use thin coats of oils. It's just a matter of choice.
