This song reminds me of myself a few years ago, watching the snow fall from my lower east side apartment's window. I had just bought "Chelsea girls" and "Winter Song" transported me to a world long gone...

@Annbeauj The true songs " comming from outer spheres " often remind us of ourselves.But , but Nico is from a higher perfet and sader planet , where I spent somes twenty years too , and where life sounds pretty like Nico's songs . Marvelous but , very deeply, sadly human. Who could tell me if Nico spent her youth in Germany ?( Btwn 1938 and 1950 )
We could think some feeling coming from these heavy times have landed in her songs , but it's only my own feeling.

Nico was and is an amazing artist. She actually came here and played in new zealand-unreal. Why did she look so full of angst and misery? She was raped at 15, maybe that could be part of it, but nothing seems to shut the critics mouths

I don't care if you all hate it, and I don't even care that Nico herself hated it; I feckin' love the flute on this album! =D The flute, the strings and her vocals on this song are all fantastic.
