Deception - Accountant Jonathan McQuarry (Ewan McGregor) is an auditor with little to no social life. One evening although operating late in a boardroom he is interrupted by a lawyer, Wyatt Bose (Hugh Jackman), who befriends him and offers him marijuana. Soon after a lengthy conversation, Jonathan requires the subway house where he features a brief encounter having a blond woman (Michelle Williams) though waiting around the train. On returning residence he notices a pipe in his bed room is leaking and leaving a stain. Jonathan contacts Wyatt the following day and so they play tennis right after work. Afterward they quit by Wyatt's lavish apartment where Jonathan borrows an high-priced match. They meet again for lunch the next day and upon leaving, Wyatt intentionally takes Jonathan's mobile phone as an alternative to his personal, forcing a trade. He mentions he might be in London on small business for the next few weeks. When Jonathan realizes the phones have been switched he attempts to get in touch with Wyatt but does not achieve him. He's shortly contacted by a lady (Natasha Henstridge) who asks if he's absolutely free that night. He informs her that he's and agrees to fulfill her. When she arrives they move forward straight to a hotel room to possess intercourse and Jonathan realizes that Wyatt must be on some kind of exclusive record. When Wyatt calls the following day he encourages Jonathan to continue on his participation with other listing members. Upon doing so he has an encounter with an older woman (Charlotte Rampling) who points out a lot more of the list's guidelines: the initiator pays for the room, no names are exchanged, there is no conversation and no rough play. Jonathan continues to participate more than the following few weeks with several anonymous partners. 1 evening immediately after initiating one more encounter, Jonathan is surprised to locate that his spouse will be the blond woman he met even though awaiting the train. When she begins to undress he stops her and tells her that they had met as soon as prior to. He requests that she have dinner with him plus they purchase space service and talk for hrs. The following day Jonathan rejects other callers in the list but once the blond woman calls once more they concur to fulfill for dinner in Chinatown. They then proceed to a hotel where she requests some ice. When Jonathan returns for the room she is gone and there is certainly blood around the bedsheets. Someone knocks him out from behind and when he wakes up the bed may be made. He contacts the police and points out to the Detective (Lisa Gay Hamilton) the woman is lacking but that he has small to no data about her. She doubts his tale and his sanity. Jonathan tries to trace Wyatt and is informed that he isn't identified in the law firm or even the apartment.
