Welcome to Plague Street - part 1 / 2

What would it be like if the black plague came to sesame street? In this edited (better) version of "Welcome to Plague Street," I cut out the slow, awkward silences. I also added lyrics to the opening theme.

I made this for art history class at Perpich Center for Arts Education. I noticed how much of the art from the era of plague was created with educational purposes in mind. That was the middle ages, how do we teach people about difficult subjects now? Singing puppets!

I'm curious. Where did you get the Count puppet?

There's a very interesting story about how I made that scene. I don't actually have a count puppet. I was going to try to make myself a crude count-like puppet, but as it turned out, the local children's museum was having a special exhibit on Sesame Street. There was a room where kids could go in front of a green screen, "have a conversation" with their fav muppet, and take home a VHS of it all. I went there, recorded 5 minutes of Count talking to empty space, then put graphics in the space.

It must be awesome to walk around in that. Was that at 5am or something? XD If I had a costume like that (easy to make, or buy on eBay), I'd go into like. A mall or something.
